At Linnaeus University, Library and Information Science is one of several disciplines comprising the Department of Cultural Sciences. The other disciplines are Archaeology, Comparative Religion, Cultural Sociology, Geography, History, Human Geography and Philosophy. The Department, as well as the Faculty, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, has activities on two campuses. However, Library and Information Science is only located in Växjö.
